Sometimes you can get a look at it by asking at the DLRR and I know that City Hall used to have passes to ride on it - although I am not sure if they still have them now that it's been refurbished.

So we went down with a group of about 9 people and showed them the ticket. The folks at the Main Street Station were great. They looked it over and said, "Well you've stilll got your ticket, so I guess you can ride." It was pretty cool and the cast member gave us a great narrative on the history of the trains and some of the famous people that have gone on the Lillly Belle. Fun stuff...

This is a ride just behind the cab of the engine. Go to Main Street station and ask if there is a Tender Run avaiable. (They leave only from Main Street.) If one is available, you will be asked to either wait or come back a little later. The Tender Run is for two people (or three if they are small enough!) You ride on a seat on the front of the tender car, just behind the cab. You will be seatbelted in. The trip I took was delightful. The engineer and fireman were very friendly.
