The sign would definately mean they will not be selling anymore tickets. The gates will allow and disallow entry and reentry as the evening moves on - The one time we were told the were no reentry's for AP's it was suggested we wait a bit and try again. About 20 min later reentry was allowed.

And has DCA been closing at 1am for NYE since 2001?

This picture was taken at about 3:30, so I'm not sure what time the park actually sold out.

As I approached the parking attendant, I asked them if I would still be able to get into DL, and she told me that because I had a premium pass, I was ok. All other passes were not being accepted at that time.

Also, for the first time that I could remember, I needed to get a handstamp in order to jump between parks and take a break from the crowds at DTD. Usually PAP holders don't need a handstamp. Thank goodness Murfsmom heard about this, or I would have been really upset that I couldn't re-enter the parks.

The fog was so bad that although they did do fireworks, all you could see were little blips of color and you could hear little popping sounds.

    Pretty boring.

As for DL's NYE hours, I can remember before DCA was built DL was opened until 5am. Then they scaled back to 3am. After DCA's birth, I think DL has been opened until 2am on NYE.

I told her I had a park-hopper (I don't know why I thought that would make a difference at the time, probably because it was from my AP in a way, but still silly). She told me I still needed my hand stamped. So I thought, huh, ok if she says so no problem, stamp away. Good thing she advised me!

Now when I went in June last year with my Dad when my pass was good, I was able to go in and out of both parks by just showing them my AP, they scan it and that was it, they never mentioned a need for handstamping, so that's interesting. And I wasn't even a PAP, I was a SCAP! Weird! Is this usually just for NYE and other "packed" or "sold out" days?

Heheh, not counting Grad Nite! ;)

Alex and I had gone to get hot chocolate and cookies, then got in line. We were right at the border for Fantasyland/Frontierland.

When people would ask what we were in line for, we would say "hats and horns" but then we started to get silly (the people around us, too).

First we'd say "Pirates" then we said "Haunted Mansion" then we said "Splash Mountain" LOL
