Any ways, it was as wonderful as I remember! My oldest(from my 1st.) was 4 when it came out, and she would dance around her room singing "AHHH Ahhh..Ahhhhhh" Too cute. This movie actually brought tears to my eyes. Did anyone else have the same reaction? My oldest daughter is going to 21 at the end of this month. We watched it together and we were reminded why we love DLR soo much!

I am excited though because The Little Mermaid was one of my first purchases when I starting building my disney movie library, and I'm glad it was re-released so I can update to a DVD and not wear out the vhs anymore!

Also, there is an extremely well done and surprisingly honest "making of the Little Mermaid" featurette on the bonus disc. It is about 45 minutes long but really worth watching.

And I also enjoyed seeing the movie again.
I was struck how really good a singer Pat Carroll (Ursula) is and wondered why she hadn't done more singing in her earlier career.

It was really well done and can only imagine how hard it was to work on this movie, and how magical!

Maybe it was all started with a mouse, but there are seven dwarves and one mermaid who had pretty important roles too.

Oh, and I REALLY want to do the virtual dark ride.

While I remembered seeing artwork for this ride a long time ago, I don't remember why the ride was never built (which was never discussed in the DVD). Anyone know why it wasn't built...and why we got Pooh, Monsters Inc and Midway Madness before this great ride?

Fortunately, the extras ARE worth the price of the DVD.

Considering it was her song, it would've been nice to see it appear on the dvd rather than Ashley Tisdale's video. Other than that, The Little Mermaid is a must have for Disney fans of all ages. :)

And the ride extra was facinating as well.

A total tear-herker, but I knew the story before watching the cartoon.
