Showing picture ID with your AP

    Yeah, supposedly because people were loaning their passes to non-passholders so as to avoid paying for parking. Of course, that wouldn't be a problem if they put photos on the annual passes. Like Disneyland used to.

    DL still has photos for APs, but they aren't printed on the pass itself. Instead, it pops up on the screen when it's scanned, so that the CM can verify the user.

    In theory, this cuts down on cheaters, since people can't pick and AP up off the ground and find someone who looks like the picture. However, in reality, I think most people who cheated the system in the past were friends/relatives who knew each other, and 'loaned' their pass for the day. DL has also implemented photos linked to all multiday tickets, though I think WDW's finger scans are a much more efficient way to solve that problem

    I personally find it ironic that WDW is copying the "show your picture ID to get free parking" from UNI. They've been doing that for at least a couple of years. Maybe some exec scoping out the competition saw that and decided it was a good idea.
