I occasionally play with a handful of applications, but the majority of my time on FB is just keeping up with friends and their photos and updates. You can easily keep up with just a few minutes a day simply by looking at your home page and notifications. Your home page and notifications will list all of your friends' status updates and many of their activities such as photos posted and commented upon. Just be particular about accepting apps. . . .you won't hurt anyone's feelings by turning them down, and once you get more familiar with FB, you can always add any that seem interesting or fun to you later on.

That way, before u k fan accepts the friend invite, u k fan can see EXACTLY WHO is sending the invite. It's easy, there is an option, right there when you make the invite to include a personal message with it. Only u k fan will see this message. My facebook profile is disabled at the moment. I have way way waaaaay too many photos and crap on there, and I'm cleaning it all up. Not that anyone cares.

My best suggestion also is accept who and what YOU want on your page....that really will keep it from being as much of a timesuck as it can become with the TONS of goofy things on there, some of which are just REALLY dumb. But it is fun to put faces to names with LP'ers and reconnect with old friends! Enjoy and we'll see ya in December then!

I don't keep up with my updates, but still enjoy looking thru others updates/photos when I have time. I don't play any of the games and rarely take the quizzes. The best part for me is just keeping up with others so easily, as I'm not one to call or visit all that often.
