My middle child (Megan) is in 7th grade and she is doing Volleyball and she loves it. they only have 9 games maybe it is because they are only in Middle school.
I just can't belive how fast the year has gone.

So when does everyone else start school? Are you ready? Parents and students. Well have a great school year.

He's going to go to his old Nursery for a few days after the school holidays by the way as they stagger their entry into reception class so only about 3 new ones each day start, so he is one of the last.Rather than him having an even bigger Summer holiday, I booked him in for a few more sessions at nursery.

Ive bought his uniform ready, he tried it on ,but the gold coloured polo shirts felt stiff, so I washed them....and one of them has gone Green!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhh!!! no idea why, and why everything else is ok, including the other gold polo shirt I washed in the same wash!!

The only one ready for school to start is my oldest. That is because he has been in 2 a days for football for the past 10 days and they will finally be over once school starts. They have been miserable in this 100+ degree weather. He will be in 9th grade and is a little excited about HS.

The other boys are in 6th, 5th and 2nd. None of us are ready for summer to be over. But I keep reminding them that there are things we are really looking forward to- family reunion over Christmas in New Mexico and DIsney Cruise next summer- and school has to start for us ever to get to those things!

We get out May 18th 07, so to the others, yes we may start sooner, but with most schools getting out in June, if we go somwhere in May for summer it is not as busy.
bloona, that was a strange thing to happen in your wash that only one shirt changed colors. Maybe there was an extra color dye in that polo that was not in the other.

Our middle schools here in our area are not very good, a little scary for us so I do think that private school is in the future.

Does anyone else have their children going to a private school?

4Disnee, I don't know much about private schools, but what is pretty common around here is shools run by the church, but free. Or charter schools they are not as big. More one one with each student.

I will continue to drive him to his current school until there is a good time to switch. Was thinking that after the Christmas holiday breaks would be a good time.

My daughter's high school is also on a full block schedule.

My kids start back to school on Aug. 30th. My daughter will be in 10th grade. We have a parent meeting for drivers' education a few weeks after that. I can't believe that she is going to start driving soon.

My son is entering 7th grade and I am homeschooling him for two years. He'll go to the jr. high for one period a day for a study skills class. Otherwise, he's with me. I've already picked up his packet of work for the first two weeks of school. He will most definitely be a busy boy!
