As a Floridian who spent most of those months in China and California, I can't blame folks for not wanting to be here in summer and early fall. Today ... we have sticky, icky, stormy weather with a tornado warning. Memo to tourists: don't come to FLA before mid-October!

And without a doubt it is understandable. Disney built a great quality resort back then. But Saratoga Springs was always a vehicle to sell people on points FOR DVC, not for Saratoga Springs. I think with the size of that thing, Spirits like you will always have the opportunity to stay there on the cheap. It's a cheap DVC resort. More people I talk to than not, always say they tried to book XXXXX and then tried to book XXXXX and all they could get was Saratoga Springs. The very reason why I sold my DVC points. I became sick of hearing that my only option was a resort that was not in existence when I purchased my points, a resort I wanted nothing to do with after looking at it, and a resort I was stuck using unless I pay cash for somewhere on property.

I know there are those who love the Boardwalk for it's energy---but for me. When I am done for the day the quiet of OKW appeals to me.

If you are combining your stay with the dining plan it makes sense to have the 14 day pass if you're staying for 2 weeks. Interestingly, the obviously Disney supported supplement in the paper did actually advise people to book their meals ASAP to get the best choice. I'm guessing that they are concerned about negative comments from people who arrive and then struggle to get ressies!!!
