I have to say, it's pretty cute and a great idea for live stage shows. The mouths move quickly. I'm not sure how it would work for Character meet & greets, but for shows it's great!

I'm sure, with time, they will develop a system similar to Turtle Talk or Push, where there is someone controling what the characters say from a distance, whether from recorded clips or live talking into a mic. Either way, it will be really complicated, and I'm sure would take a long time to work out properly.
