How about you? What was your best concert experience?

Most fun had to be Weird Al about 6 years ago in Fairfield (behind the old Nut Tree) - took the older boys to their first concert and it was definately a show!!

And of course any time I go and watch my hubby's band perform ;P

I do love going to tribute band concerts because they only play the good stuff, usually sound pretty good, and are way more affordable.
My favorite band, Journey has a fantastic tribute band called Lights...
who will be playing at DTD's House of Blues in Anahiem next Thursday!!

If not that, then a certain Styx concert I went to many long years ago.

I recently found a web site that documented all the concerts that Queen did and they had a copy of the ticket stub from this concert. The ticket price was $6.00. Amazing.

But my favorite concert was Elton John in Seattle (I think 1976) when he opened with "Funeral For a Friend" amid fog machines, wearing some crazy outfit and big glasses. God that guy could play piano! Front row center for that one too and have some great photos.
And the runner-up would be Aerosmith in the Kingdome, sometime in the late 70's. I have some fun photos of Steven Tyler in a red leopard print outfit - lovely ;).

It's still a great memory of a brilliant concert.

Wham in 87, as I was a teenager in Loveeeeee with George Michael, he threw a rose from the stage and I caught it, as it was meant just for me of course! lol

Billy Joel and Elton john touring together in Sydney stands out in my memory they had fun together.
Tina Turner was high energy and she gave a wonderful show, boy can she still shake it.

Neil Diamond was great but I can't remember what year it was.

Bon Jovi was one of the best concerts I have ever been to, I still Love this band and I'm sad that they have currently dropped Australia off their world tour.
Mj and I have said we will line up overnight for tickets if they change their minds.

There's heaps of other's but my memory is slipping! LOL

Recently I went to see Robbie Williams and this has to go down as one of the best nights ever with my friends, he was fantastic, we were right at the front and he's so sexy, so at the moment he's my Best ever!

Next up is Christina Aguilera with my niece.

From a "showmanship" standpoint I am going to say 1985 or '86 Lionel Richie "Dancing on the Ceiling" tour. That was a wake up concert for me. First, I was a white boy from a small country town and of course the great majority of the audience was black. Also, it was my first encounter with marijuana...on a MASSIVE scale.

But, the show was spectacular and even with the enormous contact high that I got I still have good memories of it.

This is why. When DD was 5, she was IN LOVE with this group. They came to Tacoma, and as a surprise I bought her and I tickets to go. She couldn't read at the time, but when we pulled up to the Tacoma Dome, she recognized the words "Backstreet Boys", and the look on her face was something I will carry in my heart FOREVER. I handed her the tickets, and she was jumping up and down, giggling, and crying at the same time.

It was the best concert ever for me. Maybe not musically, but in every other way.

DD is almost 13 now, and we still have our ticket stubs, t-shirts, and tons of pictures.

She tells me that it was one of the best days of her life.

There ain't a band in the world that can top that.
