Are there any big events coming for May? Is Splash Mtn. really closed till May 18th? We've only stayed at the DLH. How do you get from Paradise Pier Hotel to D-land and Downtown Disney? Would you recommend PPH or GCH more? That's all the questions I have for now, but don't worry, I'll be back! Thanks everybody!

Looks like there are some major conventions and other events happening in May, including the Grad Nites, which tends to have more out of town attendees in May than June. The recommend way to get to the park from the PPH is north past the Disneyland Hotel, and then east thru Downtown Disney. You can save a bit of a walk by going thru the GCH, but it is a bit confusing for those who have never walked the path. I think all three of the Disney owned Hotels are overpriced, HoJo's is the same distance as the Paradise Pier, and is a sponsor here at LP. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/lau ghingplace/ You can save a lot of money, and many folks here recommend the place. Heck, it is rated the Number 1 hotel for families by TripAdvisor in Anaheim, and in 2005, was rated the best in the NATION for families. And take the money you saved and enjoy some meals at Mimi's next door, and at the Disneyland Hotel restaurants.
