Even as he was speaking to our mutual friend there was a policeman driving by, ordering people out of their cars because there was a traffic jam that caused a major back up and the police were advising people to literally 'run for their lives' while abandoning their vehicles. The tornado was coming right toward the stalled traffic! Our friend had to cut his conversation short and run off to find shelter. It was a terrifying moment for him but he managed to survive.
