Free Knott’s Berry Farm Admission for Gift-Carrying Guests During Annual Toys for Tots Drive Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2006

BUENA PARK, Calif.--Knott’s Berry Farmhas teamed up once again with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, NBC4, Telemundo 52 (KVEA) and HOT 92 Jamz to make the holidays brighter for kids throughout Southern California.

Under the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive, guests bringing a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more to Knott’s will get into the Park free Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2006 only. The collected toys will be distributed by U.S. Marine Corps Reserve personnel to disadvantaged children throughout Southern California. The annual program is part of a nationwide U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

To brighten the holidays of soldiers stationed overseas, the 2006 Toys for Tots Campaign will also feature Pen Pals for Soldiers. Knott’s guests can write notes and greetings to our men and women currently serving in Iraq and other countries.

Pen Pals for Soldiers, Inc. was started in May 2004 by Simi Valley resident Barry R. Thomas in response to a local newspaper article encouraging people to send cards and letters to boost the morale of U.S. troops overseas. The goal of the 501(c) 3 organization is to ensure that “no Service Member will be forgotten at mail call.†For more information about Pen Pals for Soldiers, Inc., log on to www.Penpalsforsoldiers.org.

Guests participating in the Toys for Tots program on the first two weekends of the promotion can meet NBC4, Telemundo 52 (KVEA) and HOT 92 Jamz on-air celebrities before experiencing the holiday attractions at Knott’s Merry Farm®. The Park, which has been transformed into a spectacular holiday wonderland, includes holiday activities for the whole family including a colorful Christmas parade.

The “Spirit of the Season†parade is a brand new Christmas celebration with six elaborately themed floats featuring the Peanuts gang and accompanied by local children’s singing and dancing groups. Children and adults alike will be able to get into the holiday spirit as they become part of a magical world of dancing snowmen, oversized toys and glittering Christmas trees.

Knott’s 2,100-seat Charles M. Schultz Theatre will debut “Snoopy’s Cool Christmas.†This ice spectacular is hosted by the famous skating Beagle and features Knott’s ensemble skaters, dazzling sets, colorful costumes and plenty of surprises!

Back for 2006’s Merry Farm is the creation of Elf Mountain Christmas. The famous Timber Mountain Log Ride has been transformed this holiday into a world of Elves getting ready for Santa’s busiest day. Rich with lights, music and the merriest of times, this attraction will remain open until Jan. 1, 2007.

The Toys for Tots campaign collected close to 90,000 toys at Knott’s Berry Farm last year and hopes to exceed that number this December. Each year, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve coordinates the distribution of the collected toys to disadvantaged children through local social service agencies.

Knott’s Merry Farm activities continue daily through Dec. 30, 2006 (except Christmas). For information, call (714) 220-5200 or click on www.knotts.com.
