We decided to go in with early entry and do Fantasyland. The problem with this plan is that EVERYONE goes to Fantasyland and it was as busy as I have ever seen it. Likes everywhere. The only attraction we were able to get in was Alice in Wonderland and the girls did The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The girls all decided that they wanted Minnie Mouse Ear headbands and spent some time in the Mad Hatter’s Shop buying those. With their headbands on their pretty heads, they decided to split up and go off by themselves for a few hours. DD1 and DD3 decided to stay with the adults and have breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace. Delish as always. We were also able to take in the Jedi Academy and snapped some pics of the young candidates and Master and the evil Darth Vader and Darth Maul. With the excellent training from the Master, the young Padewans defeated the Darths and all is well in the universe. After breakfast, the DDs went off by themselves with all of us meeting up at the Blue Bayou for a late lunch. So off the young-at-heart grown-ups headed down Main Street to take in the 50th Anniversary film featuring Steve Martin. Second Mom enjoyed all the old pictures in the lobby and the display of the scale version of Space Mountain roller coaster track. I find that display fascinating, too. After the anniversary film, we took spin on the Disneyland Railroad for a trip around Disneyland going around 1-1/4 times and getting off in New Orleans Square. Having experienced prehistoric times, we decided that a jungle tour on The Jungle Cruise was in order. Our poor skipper was losing her voice and was having a difficult time getting through her routine. Second Mom and I then went on Indiana Jones while DH, who was experiencing Second-Day Disney Syndrome (an odd sensation of feeling like his head is not attached to his body and generally out of sorts. We determined that he has not been taking Dramamine like he usually does and so we bought some and he started feeling better later in the day.). After Indiana, we moseyed on over to Pirates for another visit with the Pirates. By this time, there was just enough time to catch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies 1:00 show, so we scooted over to The Golden Horseshoe for the show. As it was getting close to our reservation at Blue Bayou, we just sat on a bench and people watch. However, I just could not resist jumping on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a quick goat trick by myself. Now it was time to head over to Blue Bayou and catch up with the girls. We checked in at Blue Bayou and asked for waterside seating. Unfortunately, the wait was 1-1/2 hours, so we decided that as close as possible was just fine and were seated right away. While the ambiance of Blue Bayou is not to be argued, I just don’t find the food to live up to the prices. I split the famous Monte Cristo with Second DD1 and DD1 had one all her own, which she couldn’t finish. DH and Second Mom had salmon, DD2 had the pork chop, and DD3 had beef ribs. It was all okay, but I think the Monte Cristo is way overpriced and did not live up to its reputation. Or maybe, rather, it did. It was greasy and slimy and not at all what I expected. I did not expect it to be encased in a beer-batter type coating. I knew it was dipped in egg batter and deep fried, but this was heavy, heavy. Oh, well. Such is life. Now I can say I have had it and can honestly say I don’t like it. No offense intended to all those who love it. After this late lunch, we headed back to The Jungle Cruise and the girls were beginning to get wound up. So we are in line and at a point where we can see the loading and the girls are really getting silly and listening to Jeff the Skipper and everything he said they went, “Wooo!†and he laughed and off they went. Well, wouldn’t you know, but we get Jeff as our Skipper. We were sitting in the forward middle part of the boat and with every point of interest he said the girls, and me, went “Wooo!†and raised our arms to the sky. Pretty soon the whole boat was “Woo!â€ing with us and poor Jeff got to laughing and missed some of his cues. Sorry Jeff, but it was probably the most fun on The Jungle Cruise I have had in quite a few trips. Since our lunch had settled a bit, we went over to Space and did that. Time to stake out a piece of pavement for the Parade. We found some space right after the hub and staked our claim. The rest stayed there while Second Mom and I went looking for ice cream treats and popcorn. We could see the carts across the way, but it was very crowded around them, so off we went to try to find something else. Walk, walk, walk, dodge, walk, and nada. We decided that they all could learn to live with disappointment and went back. Everyone was fine with not getting any ice cream or popcorn. It was crowded along the parade route, and I must say, this was the most crowded we saw the streets and avenues of DL and DCA the entire trip. The crowds were very light and that was nice. After the parade, the girls wanted to do one more attraction before heading back to the hotel and elected Indiana Jones. DH was feeling better by then and decided to go on it too. Second Mom and Second DD1 decided to shop and find her a sweatshirt while we went on it. So off they went and off we went. Another terrific ride through flames and blow darts. With tired feet and happy hearts we went back to the hotel and had some snacks in the room for dinner. Sleepy time. See you tomorrow for Chapter 4…..

I can practically taste it right now and it is not a good memory! (No offense to its' fans.) However, as you said, now you can say you had it and you don't like it! My thoughts exactly! The Jungle Cruise is one of my favorite rides all around but I really enjoy it when you get a good skipper and enthusiastic passengers!. It sounds like your group made it a really good boat ride and it made me wish I was on that boat with all of you. Your reports are great and I cannot wait for the next one!!
