I saw the dress rehearsal of the new Halloween Screams fireworks show tonight after park closing. We watched from the Hub with a perfect view in an empty park. This new Halloween fireworks show is really, really good! If Remember Dreams Come True is a 10 out of 10, and Magical is an 8 out of 10, then Halloween Screams is a 9 out of 10 and ties with Believe In Holiday Magic as best holiday show. There is a bunch of the air pyro that uses the same shells from Magical and Remember, plus a few new big shells used. But the Castle pyro seems to be all new, or at least uses tons of new stuff and old stuff shot in different directions. The new "Magic Sphere" thing hovering above the Castle is at times odd looking, and at other times simply wonderful when it's used for Jack Skellington or other Disney Villains to speak to us through. The Zero flying character from the Tink wires is fantastic looking! WOW! The musical score is very good, and at times really emotional and enveloping. Who could have guessed the Big Bad Wolf would one day get a big musical number all to himself?!? Most of the Disney Villains show up in one form or another in this show. There really isn't much of a plotline to this show, other than Jack and Zero are really excited it's Halloween and theres a salute to famous Disney Villains. But it works, and I think they realized that the overwrought plotlines are generally lost on 99.5% of the people watching the show who just want to see fireworks and hear zippy music. I have no idea how this show will look and feel from other areas of the Park, but if you are standing in the Hub this October for the new Halloween fireworks you are in for a really big treat! It's a very, very good show!

The music is fun, the fireworks are synched wonderfully, the Zero is super cool and I totally agree with Westsider that the hovering ball is awkward at times but completely genius at others. I love that the show is interactive in a way. I had a single dorky tear at the finale. Jack screaming "HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!" and doing his signature laugh while tons of fireworks and lights and craziness is going on all at once is an amazing thing to witness. I was one of many of guests in our area smiling from ear to ear and dancing and singing and screaming the whole time. It was an absolute blast (no pun intended).
