But I really think Disney-MGM Studios is Florida's best candidate for Pixarland. Not necessarily the same attractions as DCA, but something along those lines.

The park doesn't need another E-ticket, IMO. It already has four (ToT, RNRC, ST, and TGMR.) I think they would be better served by updating those. I agree with Indigo that film and animation operations should be returned. Perhaps they could have a new animation tour that would showcase the differences in traditional and digital animation are done.

Well you know what I mean. Personally, MGM needs some simple themed rides... ie. an Incredibles Dark ride something like Buzz, or maybe a Nemo dark ride, some simple stuff to give the youngsters a little kudos. My younger kids have like nothing to do at MGM once you do Playhouse Diz and then Mermaid. Well the playground is a nice respite, but still.

And for the record, that Drew Carey sound stage show totally sucks. Thats my 2 cents worth

Now as for Pixarland, I was under the impression that Disney already had the rights to the Pixar characters, which as I understood it, was Steve Jobs and M Eisner's big problem. Steve wanted to maintain certain rights. We've been seeing Toy Story characters for years in MGM, and Tough to Be a Bug is all Flick.

MGM already has two of WDW's top e-tickets next to each other and a bunc of good shows (LMA, Beauty, Mermaid, Indy, Fantasmic). Why not a dark ride in there to draw crowds in and away from the TOT and ST areas.

I'd like to believe some good ideas will never die .... and eventually resurface but with a different story line.

At that time, it was not a motion simulator.

It was a dark ride, using a Peter Pan like ride system [where the track is overhead and you're suspended]. It had you crashing through various Toon Town environments.

I think they opted for the CarToon Spin instead of this one.

There was also a ride called 'ToonTown Transit' which did use the 'Star Tours' simulator ride system.

It was deemed too much like 'Star Tours' and was shelved.
