Issue #1: The smokers on the back patio of the Napa Rose. Yes, smokers. In a non-smoking hotel. They even had ash trays out there, so the management must have been aware of it.

Issue #2: The trees have grown so tall in the last 5 years that there was practically no park view, unless you consider the back of the trees a view.

After one night we were moved to the wing around the corner, closer to Soarin' over California. Still had some trees in the way, but not nearly as many. And, we got a great view of Condor Flats. We never had that before. It is a LONG walk to get to the rooms on that wing.

My personal favorite area is just South of the DCA entrance on the 4th or higher floors, facing Grizley Peak.

We loved that room and its view.

We like the area of 4343 or 4345. It's a great view, and if you leave your patio door open just a bit, it's really cool to hear the water flowing/russing down Grizzly Peak.

I know the parks, Disneyland Hotel and the hotels on Harbor Blvd very well, but because GCH is usually out of our price range, I would like to get one of the better rooms and I appreciate all of your tips! Thanks again.

My parents have been taking me for the last 25 years.

We have stayed in a room 323 (don't remember the floor number) and 2 rooms in the 400's. I like those rooms because you have close access to a stairwell exit at the end of the 400's hall. If you use this exit you end up next to the La Brea bakery and very close to the bag check for Disneyland. You can't enter (the door locks behind you) and there are alot of stairs and twists and turns so I wouldn't do it with a stroller but we get a kick out of our "secret learned about on LP and confirmed at the front desk" exit :) I know that floors 5&6 have this access.

Of course staying in a room close to the elevators would help too :)

    Have fun!
