I have found a reason every morning to send the boys out of the room before me so that I can prepare the room for Mickey to leave treats in our room during the day. I had originally thought Mickey would do this while the boys were sleeping but the first couple of nights William and Samuel were staying with my sister so I changed to him coming before our afternoon break. This seems to work better for us because I think it would freak Nathan to think that someone was coming in our room while we slept. Main Street opened about 30 minutes before the rest of the park so we wandered around main street waiting for rope drop. We went to our usual spot in the Kodak store to wait. Once the park opened, Nathan and I went to Peter Pan and the others went to Big Thunder. They were first in line but much to their dismay, they loaded the train back to front. They love being in the front car of the first ride of the day. Nathan and I rode Alice and then the others joined us in FL. We rode the dark rides in FL and then went to wait for Toontown to open. We always go to TT right when it opens- we dont' have that much to do there, just a few traditional pictures to take. I wasn't even thinking that Mickey's Magical Morning thing now makes Toontown incredibly busy when it first opens. I didn't realize they have that morning thing everyday. This kind of irritated me because now those without it don't have the opportunity to get in before it is crowded. We decided we would try to come back shortly before closing. When we left TT, we were able to just about walk on Small World. We were going to go get Space FP but it wasn't running so we got Buzz FP and went for an early lunch at Redd Rockets. After lunch we went to the Tiki room and snacked on Dole Floats. We headed over to DCA and David went and got FP for Soarin. The rest of us went and checked and finally the line for Monsters Inc. was decent. We called David and told him to hurry. he made it to us while we were in line and finally we got to experience this new ride. We all thought it was very cute- much better than Pooh- but not worth a long wait. we then went to the Animation studio. They explored the Sorcerer's workshop and then went to the Animation Academy. We really enjoyed this and learned to draw Pooh- pretty amazing since none of us are the slightest bit artistic. With our pictures in hand, we headed back to the hotel. We then came back to the room for a short break- the boys were anxious to see what Mickey had left them. After a short rest, David took 3 of the boys back to the park. William had been having a few problems with his attitude so he stayed with me at the hotel while I wrote my trip report. David and the others went into DCA, with all of our tickets and got TOT FP. They then went to Muppets. William and I had made it to the gates so I called David to bring us our tickets. We were going to ride Soarin using our FPs but the FP line was over 30 minutes! So the boys went to Redwood Creek while David and I filled up our refillable mugs with Cocoa. We watched them a bit, some of them rode GRR ( it was chilly by then so the line was short) then had an early dinner at WWS. By now, the FP line for Soarin was shorter, so we rode it. We then headed over to TOT. 4 of us rode while Tucker stayed with Nathan, then Tucker and David rode. This ride takes forever, even with FP. We could have saved time by using baby swap instead of Tucker waiting outside the ride, but Nathan was scared even of the que. Our plan was to get to Toontown by 7:30pm, but we were running out of time. While David and Tucker were on TOT, the rest of us headed over to TT- they move much faster than we do. David and Tucker made it to TT by about 8:15 pm. we were short on time, but the place was empty. We got our tradional pictures taken and rode gadgets before TT closed. We went over and rode Jungle Cruise- we love it at night but we could hardly hear our skipper. Luckily, the line was short. We all went and rode Pooh ( Tucker wants to make sure he rides every ride) and the others went on Splash while Nathan and I rode Pooh again- and shared a chocolate covered caramel thing ( shh, don't tell the others. They don't know we got a snack!) We considered riding HM and we still had Buzz FP and we still had 45 minutes of park time, but we were all beat, so we came back to the hotel. It is crowded this week, but still very manageable- nothing like the day after Thanksgiving. You can still find rides/areas that aren't packed and FP is very helpful. Really the only problem we have had this trip ( besides the bad weather) is that William has been a bit of a stinker at times- but I think that is his age. We have a picture in a Grumpy frame of Tucker from a trip 3 years ago.
