I was looking up some information on TV shows I watched growing up in the 80's, early 90's. Although some of these shows aired in several countries, i'm finding it hard to find information on them.

For instance when I looked up "The Little Vampire" (1986) which aired on Family Channel in Canada, and I believe on Disney Channel in USA.

It was coproduced with Germany so i'm assuming it aired there as well

Trying to find TVO/YTV only shows is even harder.

Also when I find some shows Barbapapa comes in mind, all the information is in other languages.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone spoke the same language. It makes me wonder how much of the Internet i'm missing.

Polka Dot Door - Mr. Dressup - Go Bots - Ocean Girl (Australian), The Girl From Tommorow (Australian), Round The Twist (Australian) - The Odyssey

Don't forget that remote controls were nowhere to be seen either! 200 channels? LOL, how about a handful.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 60's, I remember this puppet segment... Charlie House and Humphrey Hambone. I LOVED Humphrey Hambone! I wish I could find pictures of him somewhere. Better yet, I'd love to have the puppet!

I grew up with radio programs. Although I sometimes watched tv at the neighbors, while a jr high school student, we didn't get a set until I was a freshman in high school.

I cared for my baby brother after school and the first program I watched daily was because he wanted to see it. It was The Mickey Mouse Club. I found it boring except for the guilty crush I had on Annette. It is also when I decided that Donald was Disney's best character.

Prior to Hobo Kelly in the Los Angeles market I memer "Sheriff John" I loved Sheriff John and the lunch brigade. The Sheriff himself was a good guy, had a way about him, he taught principles, manners, good hygiene and respect. He was sorta like Mr Rogers but a bit stronger. [he actually reminded me of my dad] He sang uplifting songs like "smile and be happy and the whole world smiles at you" They played cool cartoon like "crusader rabbit and Tommy Turtle" The coolest part of the show though was announcing birthdays... Sheriff John would get letters from parents and announce them IE; "Billy Smith in Burbank is 8 this week, little Mary Gomez in Long Beach turns 7 today" and then the camera would focus on this cool carousel birthday cake and Sheriff John would sing "put another candle on the birthday cake... the birthday cake... the birthday cake... your another year old today" Man I wish I could view old episodes of Sheriff John. As far as I know, Sheriff John only aired in L.A. [on KTTV channel 11] It was in the 60's in black and white

As for TVO, I dont remember exactly which shows they were but I do remember a TVO logo before/after certain kids shows in the 80's

They had a dance segment, sort of an American Bandstand for kids in their "go go cellar"

This subject of old kids TV shows has come up various times here on LP and Dave jogged my memory of Wonderama
