C'mon, when you think of Disneyland Resort, the main thing popping into your mind is Disneyland. DCA is always an afterthought, even though it a major part of our trips to Disneyland Resort. I like it. It looks retro enough to remind me of Disneyland when I was a kid, and my girls love the castle in the clouds.

I tend to agree with you, however Disney rarely plays up its other parks in graphic logos for its resorts. So, in that sense, DCA isn't unique in being left out of a general resort logo design.
Originally Posted By trekkeruss <<Disney rarely plays up its other parks in graphic logos for its resorts.>> Yes, i am aware of that. It's certainly easier and more effective to have a simple message... and nothing could be simpler than Sleeping Beauty (or slightly generic) Castle as the only graphic. In fact, I only recall one time when did Disney had a multi-icon logo, and that was for WDW, with Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, and the Earful Tower incorporated into the design.

I almost feel that rather than show so little, they just shouldn't have bothered with the castle at all (not that I can imagine a Disneyland logo without the castle).

Yep, and there was one other time. It was in 2001 when Disney dramatically changed the Disneyland logo and incorporated a few other icons along with the castle. <a href="http://image.hospitalityonline.com/e/2037/203793_1.gif" target="_blank">http://image.hospitalityonline .com/e/2037/203793_1.gif</a>
