It was due to another health issue which was causing major blood loss, which I resolved with surgery. It really didn't change my habits as I'm diabetic and lead a fairly healthy life style. The surgery was not heart-related.

I've had my chest feel tight after eating really greasy stuff. That's made me alter the amout of junk I eat. So far as I know there's no heart condition, but at my age I'm not pushing it over cheese puffs. I think cutting the fat has ended the bi-annual appendix scares.

So nothing serious fortunately, but I am a little more aware of my diet. I'll still splurge, but fatty snacks aren't a life-style anymore.

She had to stay in the hospital and be treated for chicken pox and other diseases because they didn't know what I had.

A week later we were able to bring 2oonlet1 home. (It was the day the ground war started in Kuwait.) That night my arms starting burning and 2oony spent the whole night wrapping arms in iced towels. The next day I went to the doctor and they took a biopsy. I had gestational herpes. Apparently my body reacted against the pregnancy hormone and I got sick. That was my one and only experience with prednisone. As it turned out, no one could have caught what I had. I tore up all pictures of me at that time because of the blisters on my body. It as the worst time of our lives.

When I was pregnant with my son I was watched pretty closely in case it started again but I was lucky.

Turned out it was a platelet problem that went away with pregnancy, thank goodness, but I was very sick for awhile there. (And the baby could've had bleeding on the brain if not caught first/delivered via c-section.) Very scary.

I was told it would be risky to get pregnant again because I could very well end up with the same complication again, so that kind of ruined my plans for having a 3rd child.
