Now, this is highly believable due to the GREAT cue that ride has. She seemed pretty entertained... but was angry that there were so many people in the "exhibit". How did I explain the jeeps? "They take you right back to the surface... around where we came in. They installed them because people got tired of walking up the steps at the end." Half-way through the actual ride, I turned and look at her... and her face was priceless. Never saw it coming. ha ha ha Afterwards I recieved my fair share of arm punchings. --- Pirates of the Carribbean? "Its a slow boat ride through a museum of pirates." This was highly believeable due to the pirates posters in the cue and the fact that you could SEE the ride. She saw the boats slowly moving through the still waters of the bayou and believed me again. Whats that? A drop? I got arm punches again. Cannon fire and animatronic pirates? My arm was starting to really hurt. --- Ok... Its a Small World. "Its a cute ride, until the 'war scene'. The ride is a social commentary. Once the little kids start firing on eachother, the boat drops down a waterfall... like on the pirates ride... only twice as far." As we exited the ride... she turned and stared at me. "Can you please stop doing that to me?" FINALLY! No more arm punching! I agreed, and we spent the next 3 days having fun at Disneyland. We are going again next Monday (Sept. 11-13) and are taking her mother as well... who has never been to Disneyland. No doubt, we will be heading to the "Indiana Jones Walkthrough Exhibit" first. Heh heh

When I took my fiance to DCA for the first time last year, we got to the Maliboomer really early in the morning and he didn't know it would shoot up quickly, then drop. We walked up and went on it before he could see it running, so he assumed it would be one of those rides that would slowly take you up, then drop you. When we rocketed up and then down, he was utterly silent, and completely shocked! I was pretty proud to have suprised him, but he was so suprised he banged his hand and bruised it a little so I felt badly about that. But he still admits it was a good suprise. I still love the Indiana Jones Walkthrough Exhibit idea.....

Well, I was also completely surprised that California Screamin' shot forward.

Not healthy! I went with some friends one time and one had never been on Pirates before. Naturally on the lift at the end we all held on tight and told him that a drop was coming that made Splash Mountain look like "kids stuff". We got the greatest laugh out of that one.
