I don't know if it was the rain or cold or what but we came back depressed. We met a family living under a bridge and one lady alone in a doorway was crying so hard that she could not even say thank you. We do this because we feel seeing this face-to-face gives us a better understanding than just writing a check of dropping our change into a can. When we got back to our daughter's house it smelled of the turkey and assorted other goodies that were prepared while we were gone. How blessed I am.
