There's a lot of discussion on the park overall ... but I would love to see a topic here that focuses on this one land.

Thanks in advance for your any comments.

Be sure and ask leemac if/when he shows up, if the Executive Designer for HKDL's Tomorrowland, Tim Delaney, is still employed by WDI.

    Thanks.

    wow! That great huh? :j

    Autopia? whoop-ta-dee!

I bet they are building it for one reason - It's cheap! No show building/complex ride system. Just throw up some concrete pathways .. and build a putt-putt mobile system to Walt's antiquated idea from 1955.

I'm sure he'd agree that back in 1955 ... the Freeway was so new ... it still felt "futuristic" enough to put in his park at the time being. But freeways and automobiles are far more common than ever before. The "magic kingdom" parks should be filled with "one of a kind" experiences you can't get anywhere else.

Miniature freeway systems in 1955 was cool - but today: Yesterland!

At least they're actually getting started on the expansion! Besides, would you rather want the Rocket Rods, Superstar Limo or Light Magic in Hong Kong???

    wow !
He had a lot to do with Paris as well - no? and an awsome job with Tony Baxtor.

I think Paris proves what can be done given a proper budget. So, is the crappy design Tim's fault or the budget's fault.

Creativity seems to come down to doing the best you with the money and timeframe given.

Remember, for them driving is something that is going to happen "in the future", hence Tomorrowland.

Yes, but keep in mind those were the days when Disney Co. spent big bucks to build Disneyland parks.
