We even got a picture. I would go to this if I could get the day off (not going to happen). Just bring a camera, keep it in your bag along with whatever else you'd like signed. If the opportunity presents itself, you're prepared. If they are strict and by the rulebook, then at the least, you'll get her autograph on her newest book. There is nothing more disappointing than standing in line for five hours to meet someone only to find out the rules are not being inforced and you COULD have had a picture. And there is nothing more irritating than to have ONE person break the rules, so be mindful.

THis day was ridiculous and Disney never made their instructions clear to anybody obviously. turns out people spent the night in front in order to get in. fine by me but at least inform us that we needed to buy that book there! totally dissapointed. btw: Disneyland is strict on their rules.

My guess is that Julie prefered to concentrate on the signing and meeting the public, free of incessant flashes and requests to "Look over here and smile!" There are a number of book signings scheduled. Here's what's coming up. April 10: Booksigning at Borders Books, Westwood, CA 7-9 PM; April 13: The Wonder of Reading event, Arclight Theatre, Hollywood, CA 10AM - 1 PM; April 18: Writers Bloc, Beverly Hills, CA Booksigning 7:30 - 10 PM; April 27: Julie at Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
