I haven't been to DCA since Cars Land Opened. So any tips on the best way to do this land with minimal wait times would be great :) We will be there on Tuesday the first week of May so hopefully the crowds will be light, or as light as they can be these days :)

Granted, if you're there that early, you could probably just get on the ride with a minimal wait, so I don't really know what to recommend

And the crowds should be pretty light during your visit (at least on the weekdays). If you use the single rider queue, I would expect that you won't have too many issues getting on the ride with minimal waits

There was not even a 5 minute wait go get them....they had cast members standing there each morning until they were all gone for the day.
We usually got one and then stood in line about an hour so we could ride 2 times that day.
I was told they are not hooked to other fast passes

I arrive at the gate of DCA 30 minutes before park opening on a day that DCA does not offer magic morning. Once the gate opens I go straight to the RSR Fast pass queue which they normally have a line forming right by the Carthay Circle. (I've tried to go straight to the Bugs Land area where they are actually distributed in the past and had to go all the way back to the line at Carthay Circle before. Trust me, go straight to the Carthay Circle). This has proven to be the best way to get a fastpass in the am for us. We are usually one of the first to get a fastpass, so if we wanted we could also keep moving straight over to the attraction and ride as a walk on immediately and then use our fast passes later. This would be the best thing to do if your time in the parks is limited and you won't be able to do that same thing on a different day. You DEFINITELY want to ride this more than once.

Family Guy, am I understanding this correctly - it sounds as if the fast passes are distributed near bugs life but you have to get in line at Carthay Circle to get to the the fast pass distribution that is actually near Bugs Life ? I am definitely going to use your strategy of Obtain Fast Pass, then walk on.

We are arriving in Anaheim on Monday around noon. So we will go to the parks that afternoon. I plan to check out where all the new stuff is in DCA on that afternoon so I will know what to do on Tuesday morning when we get there.

You will wait there for the rope drop and a cast member will lead the fast past line calmly to the fast pass distribution over by It's Tough to be a bug. With the madness of rope drop and how people would get trampled trying to obtain a fastpass, I can see why they do this. They have a cm by each fast pass distribution machine and they help people move through there as quickly as possible.

People don't always make sense to me
