Give yours a hug and make sure they don't run out into the street - master of the obvious, I know. There was absolutely nothing this driver could've done. If I never see anything like that again, it'll be too soon.

My daughter said the other day "Mom it's fummy that we say I love you and we are just going out to take out the trash." We say it because we want to last words out of our mouth to be I Love you... you just never know.

I didn't even know her like I know all of you. She is planning her wedding and is going to be a Disney bride. Since I am (was?) a Disney Bride, I feel like one of our own has been hurt. I've just read her posts and shared in the joy of her wedding plans. But I can't stop thinking about her and praying for her and sending my very best thoughts. So, please, hug your children today and always.

This just brings it close to home how precious people are and we should tell people how much we care about them more often!

I don't even know the guy at all but I was gettin' teary-eyed readin' the thread about him and hearing how he will probably be able to lead a "somewhat normal life". They're being optimistic, everyone's said what a great guy he is, and I just hope he pulls through better than expected.

We both do it. It's comforting and reassuring during difficult times as well as the good times. Each day is filled with ups and downs and it's our way of staying connected.

He is very fast and very active and could easily be lost to us. And yes, people do stare and sometimes make comments, but he is alive and well. My husband came perilously close to hitting a small boy just the other day. When he shouted out the window to the adult "watching" him she blew him off with two explitives. My poor hubby shook for an hour.
