Although I really hope its something for either Anaheim or Orlando. Pirate Themed Adventure: This concept art looks identical to what Al Lutz wrote about in his last article about the Hong Kong Disneyland expansion. Although its name suggests it could be anything. New Disney Park: It looks like an alternative smaller version of Tokyo Disneysea. I hope its not for a foreign country but rather an expansion to Anahiem or Orlando were it can be enjoyed by disney fans who cant afford to go to tokyo to see real disney magic. New Nighttime water specatular: Hopefully a new concept for DCA...possibly a replacement for Fantasmic? I think after a 15 year run its time for Fantasmic to be replaced by a simalar but SUPERIOR show. Toy Story Mania: Obviously the ride being built at DCA and MGM Studios right now. It looks stupid compared to the similar attractiong being built in japan...which is the attraction pictured on the right. Monsters Inc.: Instead of Midway Mania, Japan is getting this e-ticket which features over 70 new age audio aniamtronics and tons of special effects. Anyone know anything more??

Originally Posted By FerretAfros I hope that the water show is for DCA. Although Epcot would be great for the 25th, looking at the picture, I see it appears to use animated movies, specifically The Little Mermaid, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, The Lion King, Steam Boat Willie, and Pirates of the Caribbean (not animated, but still not a good fit for Epcot). There is also something above the Lion King and POTC that I can't really tell what it is. The globes partially submerged makes me think that it may be Epcot, but they are fairly small and would not be very visable on that huge lagoon, same with the jellyfish and butterfly looking things. It also looks like it will have a TON of fountains in it, and that would not work very with the World Showcase Lagoon, since they have boats traveling around it all day. Whatever it's for, it looks promising and really exciting. For Carland, I have a couple problems. First off, did the even try on the name? That just sounds dumb, and really uninspired and uninspiring. Also, wasn't the point of Radiator Springs (which appears to be the setting of the land) that it specifically wasn't California? Maybe I was confused when I heard them say that several times in the movie, but why on earth will this be in DCA. Also, although it's a neat interpretation on the desert theme (probably taking over for that idea once Condor Flats is converted to be more like the Grizzly area), I think the wooded portions of the ride in the movie look a lot more theme park friendly, and would make for a more thrilling ride (faster in a smaller looking area). I'm not saying that this will be the end of the world, but it will take up a huge ammount of the very limited land that they have, and I hope it is a good use of it. Toy Story Mania, although not using AA's like the Hide N Seek cousin, still looks like it could be fun. I really hope that they do not attempt to make the entire attraction look like you're just driving through a midway, shooting at the games as you go by. How about actually entering one of the games and seeing it oversized and have things flying toward you? It just seems to be so close, yet so far away, and that frusterates me. The new theme park does seem to be a DisneySEA style park, but I have no idea where it would go. My totally random guess would be Florida, based on the coloration of the swampy-looking trees surrounding the park. It also seems to be the most logical place for it, as Paris is too cold for a water-based park (winds across that lake would not be fun in the winter), Anaheim doesn't have nearly enough room for something like that, and Hong Kong needs to focus on what it does have. That said, I think that HKDL would be a likely place for it, since they have the South China Sea next door (well right now it is where the next park will eventually be), and it appears as though the park may sort of work its way back into the nearby mountains. The pirate thing looks cool, and if that is for HKDL, I hope that they call it it's own land, and not try to connect it thematically to Adventureland. Their AL has a really great balance of realism and cartoon, and I would hate to see that ruined with the expansion. Also, all those buildings would really take away from the remote feeling that the land currently has. No real opinions on the urban thing or the Toy Story Live, since I have no idea what either are, or where they will be.

Oh gosh, I would hope that the idea to sharpen up the MK and WDW would not be to build a new themepark, spectacular or not that wont help it's current ill-repaired state. Although I would like to see a new park open in FL with WDW all cleaned up like Disneyland is right now. That concept art looked like Florida to me though. And the Entertainment complex looks like Anaheim or Tokyo. But who knows. And I agree, I think Carsland has gottta be a DCA thing. Looks cool/fun enough but I'd like to see a master plan and how they plan to fit that into DCA exactly, that will interest me!

But WDW is getting their's first. Don't know if ours will be better, but WDW's is going into an existing building, whereas ours is having a new building custom built for it. That's why WDW's will get theirs before we get ours, and we'll be able to see what the thing is like before ours is done. I don't like that, but it is what it is. At least ours is actually in a themed setting (carnival) that is more appropriate for it than WDW's (backlot). The lower right image of Monster's, Inc. looks like a custom, updated version of what we have at DCA. Probably will be superior... probably for Hong Kong. Yes, the Pirate themed adventure looks like it's for Hong Kong. No way they would retheme Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland that extensively, and that's a good thing. The Pirate themed adventure looks really cool, but it is way overscaled for TSI. Concept for a new Disney Theme Park? For Anaheim? Not in your lifetime. Not ever. Hotels and maybe a Waterpark for you, Anaheim. And a new boulevard to cut across and divide in half the strawberry field acreage. New theme park???... Ha! New Nightime Water Spectacular... looks scaled down enough that it would fit in DCA's cement pond. Looks cool. I hope it is for us, and I hope it is cutting edge spectacular. No visible evidence of skyburst pyrotechnics... further lends credence to it being for DCA. DCA needs something spectacular and new tech. Epcot can handle fireworks, so hopefully, this artwork is not for them. We need it. Not them. Let them have new and improved fireworks. Give us the new high tech fountain and lighting show. New urban entertainment center? Looks cool. Probably not a DisneyQuest type of thing. They tried that already... didn't work well enough for them. Whatever it is, it's not for Anaheim. Too cool looking. We don't rate. Maybe not even for anywhere in the USA. Looks like something for the richer funding that Asia affords. Toy Story Live... looks like a stage show kinda thing. Probably for Hong Kong. Carland. Everyone wants it in DCA. Forget about it. Won't happen here. No way. Based on Test Track technology. Needs lots of room for track. DCA too small... only 60 acres or so. Even with Timon expansion, (which won't happen fully anyway because Disney is jonesing for a new hotel on that land), DCA can only ever get to no more than 80 acres. All new Disney parks are well over 100 acres in size, and those are the small ones. Tokyo Disney Sea is about 300 acres, and Animal Kingdom is over 500 acres. The exception is DCA at 50 acres originally and now maybe 60, and Disney Studios Paris, which is even smaller than that. DCA is dink. Won't get the big test tracky Cars attraction. Sorry. Thanks for the link to the artwork. Fun and exciting and depressing, all at the same time.

Ha!>>> Actually there are quite a couple concepts for a third theme park in Anahiem... and that Strawberry field is easily what, 80-100 acres? That's like the size of DCA and Disneyland combined. There's PLENTY they could build here if they WANTED to. Will they? Unlikely. But saying 'not ever' is kinda silly with Disney. Not even they know. <<<New urban entertainment center? Looks cool. As far as I can recall... this was 'alternate' DisneySea artwork. I don't know if it's exactly the one I saw, but I do remember the two big lakes connecting like that, with a moved-around Portofino. There were to be show buildings UNDER those lakes. It's quite a cool idea, actually... but the drawback to the design is not having the 'vista' view that you have looking back at Portofino from Mysterious Island as in Tokyo. Anyhow, looks to be about the same amount of space as the planned park in Long Beach (which isn't going to happen). So if this is ACTUALLY a scaled-down DisneySea, I'd guess (if anything) this would be the second park for Hong Kong. Florida is not getting another park for at least 10 years, if not 20.
