And I agree. Raiders should have been at the top.

And I wouldn't call "Pirates" a drama, its a fantasy film with action.

And I hardly call "Saving Private Ryan" an action film either ... its far too realistic and bleak. Yes, it has incredible battle sequences, but it just doesn't seem to sit well with the others like "Lethal Weapon". The term "action movie" hints at something a little more escapist then a hard core war movie like "Ryan".

"Raiders" is better acted, directed and scripted then "Die Hard", a good popcorn movie in its own right but not the best.

I would say that if this list was being published around the time of "Indy 4", "Raiders" would be #1. The "Die Hard" entry on the list leads right to ... an article about "Die Hard 4".

But that's EW for you ...

Although 7 Samurai is on the list, I could have, easily, included the Magnificent 7, as well as the original Mark Of Zorro.

I see Hard Boiled is a Chow Yung Fat movie. Does anyone know if it is available in the US?

If I'm thinking correctly the end shootout which is basically the whole movie takes place in a hospital.

Kill Bill? There's always a bias towards the most recent, I guess.

Glad to see Road Warrior high, I've always felt that movie was under appreciated.
Gladiator at #7?? That whole movie did nothing for me.

Ryan I agree on, but the choice at #2 is Aliens (the first sequel), which was in fact a really good action flick.

I'm curious why those who said they don't like "Crouching Tiger", well, didn't like it.
