After reading that she could do it I know I could. I quit that following saturday. I have been smoke free for a month. It hasn't always been easy but I have held strong. I can tell you my health is already improving. I used to get sick and be sick for 2-3 weeks and develop a bad cough. This past week I got sick and the first thought in my head oh right before my trip with my hubby this weekend and our trip to Disney World. Please have me be better by Disney World (thinking there was no way I would be better b/f our weekend trip) Guess what I was almost all of the way better on Saturday. I stayed sick for only 2 days. I do have slight cough that I even have now, but its not like the old days and I am thankful for that.

When you are entirely ready, it happens. I have never smoked but I have quit some other things and I know what it takes. I am so happy for you and your family. Now they do not have to wait for you to find a smoking area right when the FP's are ready. (If you haven't already; try putting your cig money into a jar every day.)

I think my kids learned the dangers of smoking before we started talking to them about it. Either way, you are keeping yourself and the kids healthier right now and perhaps this will sick with them long enough not to take it up themselves. For that I say..."good on ya!"
