She is elderly and forgetful, but we are worried for her health. At least she has children who live near her that can and do check on her. But they may not think to tell us if anything is wrong. Please think good thoughts and or pray that Pat is OK and we will hear good news soon.

If there's any chance that something has happened to her and for whatever reason nobody else has realized it yet, you may want to contact the Sheriff's department in her area. They routinely do "welfare checks" in situations like this. They'll send a deputy out when they're not otherwise busy who can look at the property, check the mailbox, look in the windows, knock on the door, etc.

I hope someone will think to let him know what's going on if anything IS going on but I'm not placing my bets. I don't know if her family realizes how close he and his son are to her. Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts, I know they make a difference even if we are left in the dark ourselves.
