Movies that you couldn't pay me to see, in fact they could potentially be crimes against humanity:

Meet Dave and the Love Guru: Meet Dave is another ego trip for Eddie Murphy in which he plays like ten different characters. Plus it has a sci/fi setting. Have we learned nothing from Pluto Nash. The Love Guru, I know people around here are looking forward to it, but I nearly wanted to tear my ears and eyes off and out respectively. It's a good thing he's got that Shrek money.

Take your wife/girlfriend but don't see them by yourself:

Mamma Mia and Sex and the City: Mamma Mia could be okay I wasn't expecting much out Hairspray and I love that film. As for Sex and the City, bleech, one of the most overated shows ever.

The laughing all the way to the bank because were suckers for seeing movies with the guys. Step-Brothers and You Don't Mess With The Zohan:

The first stars Will Ferrell, the second Adam Sandler. Really these guys are just stealing money from us, and we've been gullible. Just avoid them.

These warranted sequels, really??? Really???? Hellboy II and X-Files: I Want to Believe:

I liked the original films but did they really deserve sequels. Plus that might be the worst title ever regarding the X-Files.

Animated movies besides Wall-E arriving this summer:

Kung Fu Panda and Star Wars:Clone Wars. Kung Fu Panda looks pretty good, plus the last non-Shrek Dreamworks film was Over the Hedge and I find that hysterical. Star Wars:Clone Wars doesn't do anything for me and I say that as a huge Star Wars fan. This smells like nothing but a money grab.

Action/Comedies that look to deliver both. Get Smart, Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder:

Get Smart is a remake of the tv series with Steve Carrell as Get Smart. My love of the Office and Carrell in general assures I'll be there. Pineapple Express is from the writers of Superbad, which might be a turnoff for some around here but I can't wait. The trailer makes me laugh. Tropic Thunder is from Ben Stiller who can be very hit and miss. But the trailer is worth seeing for Robert Downey Jr. alone.

This guy needs a comeback in the worst way M Night Shamalayan's The Happening:

After the Village and Lady in the Water this guy is in need of making a good movie and having it be a hit. I don't know too much about it but I'm willing to guess it will be better than Meet Dave or the Love Guru.

Comic Book films not named Iron Man or the Dark Knight: The Incredible Hulk and Wanted:

I'm really rooting for the Hulk I hope it's a good film. I like Edward Norton. All we really need is "HULK SMASH" Wanted is a graphic novel I'm not that familiar with but it gives off a Matrixey vibe that actually looks cool.

The very definition of eye candy, Speed Racer:

Not sure about the story but it is pretty to look at. Could either be a flop or massive hit, I don't think there's a middle ground.

The Super Six: Prince Caspian, Wall-E, Hancock, Iron Man, The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:

I'd say these are the films most people are excited for. I know I am with Indy and the Dark Knight running virtually neck and neck. Here's how I think they'll do box office wise:

    1. Indy Opening 110 million/375 million
    2. Hancock 120/340
    3. Prince Caspian 105/325
    4. Wall-E 75/315
    5. The Dark Knight 120/310
    6. Iron Man 90/275

Okay Indiana Jones just because it's the first one in 20 years, hey Phantom Menace made 431 million. Hancock because everything Will Smith touches is gold. Prince Caspian will attract families and Christian families no less. They made the first one a hit, this will be bigger. Wall-E because Pixar can do no wrong, when a 210 million grossing film(Ratatouille) is considered a disappointment you're doing something right. Plus I think Wall-E the character is really going to connect with audiences. The Dark Knight has a lot to live up to but I think it will, Batman is relevant again YES!!!. Iron Man is the first film out the gate and the public just wants to see something.

    So there you go.
