Anyway the person working with the children told me the store would be open at midnight for the Black Friday at the mall in Overland Park,Kansas. Only one other store will be open so far...I hope it is a Starbucks or Panera! I am wondering if other stores will be open across the USA?

I have done the Midnight shopping thing once and was not too crazy about it. I prefer to start about 4 AM.

I think it's terrible that all these retail workers have to have their Thanksgiving time with family even more intruded upon. Last year there was an item Target was selling as a "doorbuster." People log-jammed through the store at o'dark thirty to fight for it. Two days later, we found it for $10 more. To me, not having to deal with the crazed mob at 5 in the morning is worth $10.

Sigh, I guess I should take plenty of my heart med on the trip, I'll probably need it. That kind of crowd stresses me almost to the point of anxiety bordering on panic.
