I'm also surprised that it wasn't included as a 'bonus' on the 40th anniversary CD 5 years ago. Just as the original in film overture is finishing with "Spoonful of Sugar", it seques into "Jolly Holiday", then ends with "Feed the Birds". I'm not a musical genious by any order, but I think it was extended on the album to sound 'more complete'. I'm guessing that Randy Thornton decided to release only the film overture to be consistant and 'accurate'to the music from the film.

I wouldn't complain if Disney released the LP version of that soundtrack, and of the Jungle Book as well. But PLEASE lay off the noise reduction! Recent releases have have had all the life sucked out of them.
