I had no idea that the Gallery was closing (I've clearly been out of the loop lately) and I am SO disappointed to hear that is the case. I also have MANY fond memories from inside, and will sorely miss it during future trips to the park (up on the balcony looking out over the crowds was my favorite place in Disneyland to experience dusk--which is my favorite time of day there). I especially liked that not many people seemed to know it was up there, so it was never crowded. I'm going to Disneyland in October and it will be sad to not be able to climb those steps. I heard that the steps are being removed as well...that will be weird.

I used to enjoy getting a coffee down below and then going up and sitting on the balcony drinking it and just people watching or reading a book. When I was going through my divorce, the gallery was just a private escape for me. I spent many hours up on that balcony just getting my thoughts together. I will truly miss the gallery.

If they wanted to they could build an apt above it, it would be even higher and you would get a view of the whole park from your window.
