But the public bus works just as well. the LA Metro Route 460 goes between Disneyland and Downtown LA, and stops at Knott's. And it is an express bus in Orange County (limited stops). $1.25 one way. Just catch the bus in front of the Disneyland Pedistrian Entrance on Harbor (south bound side of the street). Trip takes about 20 minutes one way

Timber Mountain Log Ride and the Calico Mine Train ride are fun. Not as sophisticated as DL's rides like PotC .. but themed much more than any Six Flags park.

Knotts is so close .... you could take a bus on Ball rd. Immediately behind DL, take it WEST, get off at the Beach Blvd. stop, and take a bus NORTH to Knotts. The major stops before you get to Knott's are Orange, Lincoln, and third is Crescent. The bus may have a stop near Independance Hall, and that point there is an underground tunnel to take you to the side of the ticket booths.

Or you can get off at the La Palma St. stop, and backtrack just a little.

And it is a lot more flexible than a tour bus.

The Main Entrance is south of La Palma on Beach, west side of the street.

As for the Knott's Scary Farm, I would take the bus there, but since the last bus returns to Disneyland shortly after 11 PM, I would opt for a cab on the way back, since the event lasts past Midnight. (That is a cheaper option then renting a car for a day, and then pay the gas and parking at Knott's)

The Metro line is very reliable, many folks use it to get to and from the park as employees.
