When my uncle asked a person on the set what movie they were shooting they said it was going to be a which type movie. Uptown was also uased in Father of the Bride Part 2. It is the town in which they are racing thru to get to the hospital. I have met Johnny Depp because he was shooting in front of a house that also happened to be next door to my friends house. Part of the Love Bug was also filmed in Pomona/La Verne at the WinterNationals raceway. This is about 3 miles directly West of the Pomona Colleges in Claremont where the Absent Minded Professor scenes were filmed. I never knew this until I stayed at The Allstar-Movies Resort in Disney World and on the wall of the Lobby was a photograph of Dean Jones in a scene from the movie with the location listed as La Verne, CA. The Angeles mountains and particularly, Mt. Baldy could be seen in the background scenery of the photograph.
