What's the longest you've ever had to wait to evacuate a ride that's broken down?

My longest is Indiana Jones (probably about 20 minutes of sputtering and bumping around in the dark before they FINALLY got the ride moving again). It was a long 20 minutes.

Been stuck on Big Thunder for about 10 minutes and Alice for about 10 minutes but Indy was the worst.

I guess they had a rolling blackout or something. Anyway, they had to bring in a stepladder to get us out of the jeep. It was only a short walk back to the loading area, but I'm really glad we got off at the beginning, and not next to the giant snake! Creepy!

We were rear-ended right after loading on Indy and taken off before we even left the loading area.

You so totally win. That would be a nightmare, I'm thinking, especially if:

    a) You were on a moving one.
    b) You were way up high.

    (Were you?)

    Hey, me too. :)

Separate question, what is the best compensation provided to you by Guest Relations after being stuck on a ride?

Normal comp is fast-passes I think. We got 1-day park hopper tickets for the Sun Wheel thing. I wonder if anyone has done better than that??

Then, when they finally evacuated us into a back lot my poor 3yo grandson started crying, "WE"RE NOT IN DISNEYLAND ANYMORE! ! ! !" Terribly tramatic for a 3yo. All we go was passes to go to the front of the line on any ride. And they expired that day and the day was over. (We did go to City Hall the next day and we were given fresh passes.)

My favorite has to be Gadget's Go Coaster. We were actually evacuated off that little thing.

I think it was in 2003. They tried and tried to get it moving. Then we had to wait for a special code or something before the guys in their hip waders could actually get into the water and start pushing the boats. The people in the boat behind us were positioned well and were able to leave within half an hour or so. We could have climbed over our boat into theirs but they would not let us. We were among the first to be evacuated so there were folks down there even longer. And we had family waiting for us at F! The CM's were not going to let us through cuz the show was starting but we told them what had happened and they found our place for us.

But for 2.5 hours you should've gotten a lot more than some fast passes.

I was stuck on Splash Mountain for 30 minutes once. That was the first time. The next time we were stuck on it for 20 minutes. Then the next time we were stuck for 15. That was all in one day. It took us four tries before we finally made it all the way through the ride.

Ended up being there for one hour - they had to drain all the water so they could bring the ladder to let us out. The first person off our "raft" fell and cut her elbow really bad so they took her down right away.

It was really fun seeing it from a cast member's view!

All we got was the special fast pass to any ride - except Midway Mania, which is what we really wanted. Think we ended up using it for Space Mountain.
