Also do not like the Street Party or the balloon decor on Main Street. Doesn't work with the Victorian theme. However, we still love Disneyland but I'll be glad to see these things go.

about the confetti, from an artistic standpoint and as a guest, i think it is a neat effect. As a former dl custodian, confetti is alot of work to clean up! and since both the parade and fireworks use confetti, it must be even more difficult for the custodians to keep up.
that is why throughout the day you see confetti around. When Light Magic was playing, during the day confetti would blow down from the rooftops.
I always say if you look hard enough in any planter along the parade route, you will find old Light Magic confetti.
That summer you could find confetti from the show all over Anaheim. guests and cms would track it home with them!
However the summer custodial crew of 97 did a pretty good job of keeping the park clean despite the confetti!

Though I agree, the parade looks worse than even some of the junk in the 70's and 80's.

As for confetti, they are great at the time, but yep, it certainly does trash the parks overall though.

    Confetti - stay.
    New firewoks - bye bye

We thought the confetti was cool but were surprised to see how much of it DIDN'T get cleaned up. The next morning there was confetti stuck to the street and sidewalk everywhere. That struck as as odd as the park is usually spotless, especially first thing in the morning.

I didn't care either way about the confetti, but we did see it at opening every morning. HOWEVER, I don't think it was because it didn't get cleaned up.

We saw a manager type person berating a custodian one morning at opening because there was confetti on the ground. She was yelling at him because they hadn't cleaned it all up before opening. He argued that it had been all cleaned up, even though there was obviously still some on the ground. The thing was, it was blowing down from the roofs as we walked along in the morning, so I'm sure they HAD cleaned it, more just appeared!

Leave them, let people collect them, and then run the vacuums at night.

We timed our entrance into Disneyland (the first time this season) to start shortly after the afternoon parade. We walked into the roar of the vacuums being run down Main Street. It was really odd. I understand why they have to use them but they sure do kill the moment.
