It's a Samsung 437, through AT&T. I also will be paying him $5 a month for the 200 text messages so I can send and receive (mostly sending) pictures. Cause I never could get into text messaging, so now I have a reason to pay him for this service :)

Oh and this is the phone:

Other than that I have not too many people to send pics to, but more importantly whoever I plan to send pics to I need to make sure 1) if they can receive them, but more importantly 2) if they can receive them, how much does it cost on their plan.

Now, my Niece did say I could send them to her email, but I'm not sure how. I'm going to call the nice young lady who sold the phone to me and ask her. Unless someone on here knows :)

I also need a cable to connect to the computer so I can upload them. The store I bought the phone at had the Samsung ones for 30 bucks, but the girl there said I could find them cheaper online. I think I'll check Bestbuy.com first.

    Thanks, DVC Dad!

Very true, 5BR. One of the other reasons I wanted to get it.

You cannot send/receive photos through text messaging. Sure you have email right there that you can use to send them. But its a BIG deal and a BIG negative that you can't use text messaging to do it. I am sure there is a good reason but I know not what it is.

    Hope you enjoy it!

I signed up for an additional plan on Verizon. It's an extra $10, and I get 500 free text/picture messages a month from any company, although any messages from Verizon is free; as luck would have it, the ones who text me often DON'T have Verizon, lol. See if your niece could do something like that; in fact a lot of the ads for that come in the monthly bill.

I've also been able to send text and/or pic messages to my email. When you have the message, instead of sending it to your niece's phone, you type in her email address. A good example of this would be in the LP Live section, as it tells you how to send pictures to them.

    Hope that helps!

So that means another person without an i phone wouldnt be able to receive the message unless they went to e mail on their computer...mmmm....

Bloona and DVC, I think they had some iPhones at the AT&T store I got my phone at. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they have any info, I still have some questions about my phone to ask them :)

I think I'll check out that in LP Live, 5BR thanks :)

So I have "Unlimited IN Messaging, plus 500 additional messages" according to my account.

And I just sent quite a few to my email address.

I think I'll invest in that USB cord after all :)
