Let me share what I observed at my favorite Florida park...

    Future World-
The disaster of Imagination V3 (it is better than 2, however,) the boring Energy Pavillion (and I do enjoy Ellen but come on...) and the closing of Wonders of Life left a good portion of land used without inspiration.

On the other hand, half our group loved Mission:Space (I was not one of them- I rode both versions and cared for neither), we all loved Test Track- at least it is fun; and really enjoyed the Land redo. Soarin' is a crowd pleaser for a reason. Spaceship Earth seemed better taken care of than last visit.
We LOVED Nemo-(it was charming)- and Turtle Talk even though we went in a little skeptical.
    Never saw Innoventions.

Overall, we thought FW had a positive vibe- if you exclude the graveyard feel of the entry area and the memory stone thing waste of space.

Our favorite part of Epcot has always been World Showcase. We all enjoyed it, but it seemed... tired. The upkeep was spotty, and the later opening schedule really ticked me off.

However, Illuminations was still terrific- and our meals were good. The only place we could get last minute reservations were at both Rose and Crown and Alfredos- both of which I heard the food mediocre at best- and actually had a pleasant surprise. Must have been a good night!

As much as I love EL RIO DEL TIEMPO it does need a makeover, Norway boat ride, too, and the France film looks dated- and the theater was absolutely in poor shape. The China film was excellent, and American Adventure still moving.

The Food and Wine Festival was ok- but the entertainment around the park was excellent. Everywhere we went.

Overall, there is both good and bad to be seen here, but we still enjoy this park very much.

Hopefully, Disney will continue to improve the Future World pavillions and refurbish the World Showcase ones.
(A new country would be great- Russia, please.)

For now, Epcot remains our favorite Florida park. If Animal Kingdom continues on its course (the design disaster of Dinorama aside), it could quickly move into first place...

Not to mention the bad fashion sense of the British guests.

As for El Rio del Tiempo, I agree... it should be called "El Rio de Queso", but your prayers for a makeover are being answered in 2007.

I just don't see Disney doing another makeover that will incorporate the theaters, dinosaurs, etc. Probably, (my hunch) the whole thing will be gutted and redone from scratch a la World of Motion. I guess I'm just nostalgic for remnants of the old Epcot Center, though. Change CAN be good, and Future World in general is in better shape than I've seen it in a decade or more...

If so, how about bringing in the Rhine river ride to Germany and some great thrill ride to WS?
