I'd like to think this was just a smart move by Disney's exec 'leadership' team, but c'mon none of us are buying that.

Oh well, I hope Phil doesn't cry in his stuffing.

You (and more importantly, I) don't want to know how much I have spent there in my adult life and how much my family and close friends have largely due to my influence.

I can't justify spending my money there largely these days and I haven't.

Still happy to hear these parties have been killed ... I'd be even happier to hear that Disney was scaling back its Christmas parties and/or returning its Christmas entertainment to the poor unwashed masses as part of their daily admission!

I'm confused. You WANT the unwashed masses at WDW? That doesn't sound like an elitist thing. I'm not an elitist, but I am a snob, and I don't want scrungy people there. A little scruffy is ok.

I am looking forward to my week in Spain in Feb. That's money DIsney would have got once upon a time.

and Spirit, I ran a spreadsheet on how much money I have given Disney over the last 10 years, let's just say if we didn't, I could be living in a house twice the size of mine.

Absolutely the only thing I miss about this is when TDLFAN said he attended one and You asked HIM, "Oh Yeah, what did you go as?". I laughed so hard for so long my ribs hurt! That deserved some kind of internet award!

I Finally like a cut they made. Cut the rest of those pay as you go parties.I wish they would concentrate on returning the Magic to the Parks, not how much money they can squeeze out of people that they call guest.

"Mr. IGER, tear down this Wall!"

If I had the money back from my last 10 WDW trips, I could afford one of those big fancy German cars like Spirit drives.

Mr Iger would do himself well if he listened to dedicated CM's like you -em rather than some of his bean counters!
