Hpe everyone has as much fun as I did when I went.

There is an additional charge for BlastOff, and many schools choose not to do it. I'm an attractions cm at DCA and I've worked every BlastOff! so far, and its quite easy because of the light crowds. Although this year we have had some occasions where it got quite rough.

I am surprised to see so many of the guests underdressed. I know when I went to Grad Nite in '98 (Gosh, I feel old) our school demanded that we dress up. They even told us horror stories of the days when everyone (males) had to wear ties and if a student did not wear one, Disney would ISSUE him one for the night.

From the pictures in the update, I saw people wearing jeans! A friend of mine said he went last week and he wore shorts and Vans!!! WOw.

Chefjim was right when he said that dressing up to go to a special event at Disneyland made the whole atmosphere kinda cool and exciting. Apperently the proper attire is being relaxed tremendously and is not of importance anymore.

I mean if we cant do disneyland for grad night i think we should be able to go for our senior trip. But we always go to six flags and i hate six flags so i missed out on my senior trip. I mean i know everyone doesnt like disneyland but most poeple i know admit they do find something amusing to do while they are there. I mean at least the other two high schools next to ours go to disneyland for their senior trip why cant we.

this question is for those who go to disneylands grad night. Is it has bad as my school makes it out to be. is it really really like awful crowded? and do the kids not enjoy themselves? please let me know. thx.

But we did have fun and we didn't have to deal with the drug dogs, either.

Grad Nite is much less formal than when I first chaperoned. (1992) Then we still had ties, suitcoats, dresses, and pantsuits. I'm also sure Grad Nite's used to be more expensive. (for Disney)
The first four I went to featured live bands and one year there was a performance of Fantasmic. Grad Nite's whole feel now is a big high school dance, with rides. I suspect, from a business standpoint, that the new style of Grad Nites makes make sense. (and profit!) I liked the old style better, but I have to say that the Seniors have just as good a time the way the Nites are now. If I was going to change anything about Grad Nite, I would make it possible to get FastPasses.

Thanks again for reading and commenting,

    might be disappointed.

DLRdiana- Yes, schools can be banned from
Grad Nite. Usually this is for
    destructive behavior, abuse of
    CM's, or multiple drug or
    alcohol incidents. I don't
    think the ban is permanent,
but once you get off of the
list to go to Grad Nite it's
hard to get back on. Schools
have been on the Grad Nite list
    for decades. (Summerville has
been going to Grad Nite since
    the late 1960's.)

    Hope that helps,
