Yes. It was heaven. We even got to stretch our arms out and not touch anyone in that path in front of the Jungle Cruise/Tarzan's Treehouse.

It was heaven!

As far as APs tho, we went on Tuesday and Weds 6/15 & 16. Weds was a blockout for all SoCal APs. I was surprised at the crowds at DL that morning... we only stayed til 11:30am and I thought it was pretty crowded. So maybe it's only Saturdays with lower crowds, as only Premiums can enter that day? Would be interested to hear others' experiences.

For the past two weeks Mon/Tue has been near capacity crowds, with Fastpasses gone by Noon and cars being parked at GardenWalk and the Convention Center, and big lines for food, restrooms and shows.

Saturday? The slowest day of the week in summertime. The difference between last Tuesday and today is like night and day, and the attendance numbers are about 40,000 less for both parks combined today than they were last Tuesday. It's a dramatic change from just 10 years ago when Saturday was always the busiest day of the week no matter what the season, but especially in summer.

I feel sorry for the AP's who only go on weekdays and think those huge crowds are normal. But then I feel even sorrier for the casual tourists who show up on a Tuesday and can't get on many rides and think Disneyland is a madhouse year round.

The typical tourist question to a frazzled CM: "My gosh, this is insane! I'd hate to see this place on Saturday!"

CM response: "Actually, sir, Saturday will be about half as crowded as it is today. Never go to Disneyland on weekdays when AP's aren't block out."

Tourist: "That makes no sense. We picked Tuesday because we wanted to avoid weekend crowds."

CM: "Sorry, that's not how it works anymore. AP's rule the world here on weekdays. Um, the Canoes have a relatively short line at 30 minutes if you are trying to find something for the kids to do now that Splash Mountain Fastpasses are all gone."

Wait times at Pirates and Mansion and Thunder were 5 to 10 minutes all afternoon. Pooh and Canoes and Jungle Cruise were near walk-ons. Splash Mountain and Indy Fastpasses only booked out 50 minutes in advance with a 45 minute Standby line. Tables still available at Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou, and lots of room to roam in all the walkways with happy people everywhere.

Just a perfect, gorgeous, summer day at Disneyland. Tomorrow will be busier with fewer AP's blocked out, and then Monday/Tuesday it will get very crowded again, especially after work.
