None of the above today, but....

I picked up a black leather Kenneth Cole bag and a brown leather Nine West bag for $5 each!!

(Maybe my sis Ursula can advise if this really is a good deal??)

I thought this was a great find. Both are in excellent shape, however the Kenneth Cole has a little scratch on the bottom of the bag - you can hardly notice it.

Has anyone else found anything thrift shopping that you just couldn't believe someone got rid of?

Carnival Glass for 50c, check the prices online.

Got many 19" flat screen CRT monitors for less then 5 bucks, also find these on the curb.

A few other antiques, including linseed viewmasters with a box of old reels. (Not cartoon reels) for a pittance.

Bought my dry bar and 2 stools for less then 20 bucks,

    a few other things.

Won't say which stores, but most weren't Goodwill's.

There are always exceptions though; I know my sister has found brand new clothes/handbags/shoes at thrift stores, but that kinda stuff isn't all that exciting to us guys!

I do like to go to flea markets/swap meets; I know I'll see many more interesting things there than at a thrift store. eBay is where I do most of my looking for neat stuff... I can do it 24 hours a day (hey, who needs sleep?) and I always hope I'll get something at a good price there.

Heck, I found a great used Coach bag at the Goodwill by my work and they wanted $65 for it, about the same as if it were on eBay.

I have found Tiffany & Co glass often for change. I think this is a great deal since I tend to buy it at Tiffany in the $40-100 range.

I also found a Marc Jacobs jacket for $35. I didn't buy it, but looked it up and saw it was going for about the same at eBay.

I love love love thrift shops! There are some great ones in Washington, DC, too. I've given some nice things from my father's estate (Baker furniture, art, etc.) to thrifts because we just couldn't keep everything. I hope they all found a great home!
