Anyway...here's my question: It will be so much easier for her if we can save a few steps during the day. When I made the reservation, I requested BLDG. 14 at POR. Does it help to FAX the request once more before arrival? Or...do they just get annoyed if a guest does that?

    Thanks!

Tell the CM why you requested that bldg and use the term recovering as that conveys that she still has some needs.

And let me add congratulations on your sisters current status. As a health care professional I don't always get to see an up side to this dreadful disease. Have a magical time.:)

Anyway...we're enjoying life NOW!!! Nobody knows what's around the corner, eh?

I heard that some of the resorts no longer even accept FAXes...not sure about POR. Perhaps calling a couple of days prior to arrival would be a good idea, just to double-check things. I will tell them of the situation; I just requested at the time of reservation...didn't go into any details.

Since she may still be sore from her upcoming surg the closer the better. Just a note- take zip lock bags for ice and those Thermal patches(that heat up when opened)for any aches and pains she may experience. If she finds she tires to easy you may want to reserve a wheelchair for her at the resort at the same time you call about the room. It is no charge(1st come basis) and you can take it everywhere on property. You are always first on buses as well. This would reserve her strength for getting on and off rides and let her walk at her own pace and rest in the chair when needed. This may not be something you need or want but just thought I'ld share the info just in case as it worked so well for us.
    Make lots of great memories.:)

That's exactly what we have planned! I've made dining and show reservations so we have some exciting things in store for us. She hasn't been there since the early 80s, so there will be a lot to see. Makin' memories...that's what it's all about!!!

jkayjs...thanks for all the thoughtful suggestions!! :^)
