My mom used to read loads of Agatha Christie. She drove me nuts because she's always turn to the last chapter first. I guess I'm turning into my mother, because I'm getting this uncontrollable desire to jump right to the ending. Anybody else? I'm one who doesn't read the chapter headings in case they spoil the plot. This really isn't like me. The kids and I are going to the countdown party at our local Barnes and Noble and then somehow we'll figure out how 4 people will read 2 books. They have their costumes all ready. My prediction: Kreacher has the necklace. Harry dies. I agree with some authors who find that there are quite a few Christian themes running throughout the books. I think we'll see something along the lines of "Greater love hath no man than this; that he lay down his life for his friends." I hope I'm wrong though.

I'm rereading the previous book now, and that occurred to me while reading it. As for the Snape good/evil debate, I want to believe that he isn't completely evil, but I noticed a line in Half-Blood Prince that I didn't notice before. During one of his lessons with Harry, Dumbledore says that because his wisdom is so much greater than most men, his mistakes tend to be equally great. That line just jumped out at me, and I wonder what portent, if any, it will have to bear on the final book. I think Harry won't die. The poor lad's been through enough already in his young life. If anyone deserves a happy ending, it's Harry.

Because if it does, Harry has life debts owed to him by two of Voldemort's closest deatheaters - Pettigrew and Snape... could be interesting. I think Pettigrew's life may be cut short in order to prevent him from fulfilling his life debt though. -Rowling has said that a non magical person will use magic and it will be later in their life, which leads me to think it will be either Ted Tonks or Filch. -I think the seven horcruxes are: 1.The Diary 2.The Locket(although Kreacher helped get it, I don't think he still has it... Mundungus stole A LOT of stuff from 12 Grimmauld place) 3.The Ring 4.Rowena Ravenclaw's Tiara 5.Hilga Hufflepuffs Cup 6.Nagini 7.Harry (more specifically, his scar) -I also think Percy is a deatheater,or else will be under the imperius curse at some point, everyone else thinks I am wrong about that, but if any of the Weasley's die, it will be him. What really sucks is that Rob found a copy of the book online and I am being too noble and moral to even glance at it, but he has let a few things slip, none of which have anything to do with the above.

Now that Dumbledore is dead however, Dudley is magical again. It's a really cool book, almost 700 pages long and just written by someone who has even more time on their hands than I do right now.

Remember, JK Rowling has said two major characters die in this one. Saturday morning I'll wake up, take my shower, put on my Gryffindor T-shirt and sit by the door waiting for my Amazon delivery. Then, it'll take quite a bit for me to leave the book to go to a birthday party, but everyone there will be in the same boat!

It takes a lot of effort to scan a book in, so I would be shocked if there are legitimate copies floating around. There are some spoilers floating around supposedly though, so be careful. The nice thing is that you never know who's making it up and who's spoiling.

Like I said though... I'm not reading it, have no itention of reading it and am quite happy trying to figure everything out for myself until Saturday.

I wonder if Lord Thingy gets less human with each horcrux destroyed, and whether his soul is evenly divided between the horcruxes or has been split in half each time- since the two oldest Horcrues are already destroyed, that's 3/4 of his soul right there. I wonder if Fred and George are going to outfit Harry with a little help, like 007's 'Q'. I wonder if Harry has picked up on the fact that Tralawney, when drunk, bats 1000. I wonder if Ginny, no shy girl that, is really willing to just let Harry dump her even though he cares for her- after all, isn't he already in moral peril? I wonder what Snape's REAL deal is- I do't think he's really loyal to either side and is playing a deeper game. I'm wondering which Weasley's die and hoping it's just Percy. I wonder if Tonks and Lupin live, a long shot in my opinion, whether they finally hook up and if thier kids will be pink and purple warewolves. I wonder if aunt Petunia will ever say what she knows. I'm wondering if the dragon on the dust sleave is Norbert. I'm wondering what the significance of the 2 way mirror is- JKR says it was important. I expect Harry, Ron, Hermy and Ginny to survive, Lord Thingy to bite it, but for none of usto see the end coming down like it does.

The story I heard about one of the "leaked" copies is that someone supposedly hacked into the publishing house and got a digital copy. I did read that spoiler but I don't believe it and I wont repeat it here (until Saturday).

Then a CNN.com article, which purported to have no spoilers, had just that - even though they said that the topic in question was disputed by another site claiming spoilers.
