I feel like the idea of being in Andy's room is really clear in WDW. They apparently tried to do this in DCA as well (at least according to the Imagineers at the Mr Potato Head ceremony), but didn't actually do much of anything to tell guests that they were there. I think once you're inside the building, the whole theme of the attraction as Toys will be a lot more clear here.

I'm not entirely sure why they have the green army men and barrel of monkeys (now I know where they got the monkeys to put on the Play Parade float!) outside though. It's supposed to look like Pixar's studios, and does a pretty good job of making it look like an office park, yet still a theme park. But the oversized toys look really out of place outisde. They sort of add to the midway atmosphere, which is totally lacking outside of the building in WDW (interesting, the DCA one is lacking the Toy theme and the WDW is lacking the midway theme, but they both have both in the name!). I'm sure most people will think that they're fun, but they really don't make any sense, as we're not even supposed to be toy-sized yet.

Also interesting that WDW will have FastPass for it, and DCA is getting standby only. I think I prefer DCA's method, but I don't really know how fast the line will move with or without it.

People will be moving through there at a pretty good pace, so they won't have much time to stand around and mess things up. The less time people spend in one place in line, it seem the less mess they leave behind. I really don't think this will be that big of an issue.

Attention to detail, what a novel concept.

You know, they spent millions to develop that interactive Potato Head animatronic, and half the people riding will just be rushing by. Seems like they would have been better off having the animatronic as part of the ride instead. At least then everyone would see him.

My choice is where the track ends and then rolls backward. Have him holding the bent up end of the track and roaring at you.

The only slow part is the loop outside before you go into the building but even that is not too bad. When you FP you miss all that.

I do hate when people push pass to catch up with their families who got in line while mom took little johnny to the bathroom, but that would be another thread. :)

This looks fantastic. The attention to detail is impressive and I am very happy to see a new offering at this park. I can see how a whole PIXAR STUDIOS area can evolve from this launching point. I look forward to see this area develop over the years!
