I don't see any other production companies or distributors taking on such a film either, though, as the trademark and copyright issues would be pretty much insurmountable. -Jeff

There's a difference between a casual Disney consumer and someone fanatical enough to pay $10.50 to sit through a 90 minute movie about DL. There are millions of the former, but only a few hundred thousand of the latter, if even that. There are already many books and videos about the creation of Disneyland, and you never see any of them within a mile of the best seller charts. A movie would be no different. Besides, most of the country goes to WDW. DL is mainly a West Coast thing when it comes to "normal" Disney fans.
Originally Posted By Waltfanantic Nope. I'm afraid you're wrong. I mentioned three movies in another post. The Greatest Game Ever Played, The Rookie and Miracle. All three have books and documentaries nowhere near any kind of "best seller" list and all three made very compelling movies that did quite well. And unless your a golf historian, who ever heard of the Greatest Game Ever played? Still made a great film. Everybody knows Walt and Disneyland. More people love Disneyland because it's the original. WDW has more television ads because it needs too.

Eleven weeks at number one to be exact. Now I have to believe that there are far more Disney fans presently then there are Titanic fans.

JK, it was a fun film when it was at DCA. Crush is a good replacement. Maybe they could revamp Ursula's Grotto and put it there.

Why not give a film 'bout Dizzyland a chance? ORWEN: It should start out with a history lesson about Uncle Walt, of course. Then it could take off from there. Yes, it has all the makings to be another big hit--just like Return to Oz!! ORGOCH: I think ya meant The Wizard of Oz, dummy!!
