It was a 2 1/2 day event at a resort - auctions / they sang and entertained/ had Q& A forums and signed memorabilia. <a href="http://boards.disneysites.com/showthread.php?t=3829" target="_blank">http://boards.disneysites.com/ showthread.php?t=3829</a> they had also been at the same place the year before ( it was a visit from 5 of them the first time) - It was a great time, and I got to meet my favorite - Cheryl ( always liked blondes )- who is still nice looking today. They signed specially made ears, and posters and t shirts.

They were: Bobby, Sharon, Tommy, Doreen, Cheryl, Don, Sherry, Mary, Cubby and Karen. (Lonnie had to cancel at the last minute, and Mary took his place.) Here is LP's full coverage of the October 3, 2005 event, with photos and video: <a href="http://www.laughingplace.com/Lotion-View-130.asp" target="_blank">http://www.laughingplace.com/L otion-View-130.asp</a>

Hard to be in that club when you live in St. Louis, Mo.! I also remember wishing I had a monkey, like that show Shelly Winters had with the three chimps and actually "ordered" a monkey for my Mom from a matchbook cover. Thank God it never arrived. I believe I was 5 at the time. Speaking of matchbooks. I found an old tin, the size of a bread box full of old matchbooks, guess someone's collection landed in my hands. Found them while I was alley cruising for freebies and treasures. Love this feedback we all share. My first time and found it be accident looking up stuff about the original Mouseketeers. Nighty-night;~)

It was hosted by the diminutive Paul Williams and it focused primarily on the original Mouseketeers. They did song and dance acts, and Paul updated us on what they were all doing except for Annette, in which "EVERYBODY knows what she was doing." They also had some retro clips and a montage for Jimmy Dodd, but not The Other Guy. The end of the show featured Mickey and ALL the Mouseketeers from the 50s, which I found confusing because there were so many. The gang from the 70s weren't there, but there seemed to be an awful lot in the finale. Any explanation? Oh, and the running joke was that the dwarf-like Paul was lamenting that he wasn't a Mouseketeer, almost on the virge of a tears and a nervous breakdown at the end of the show. The ever-cheerful Annette mocks him before giving him his beloved ears. End special. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annette_Funicello" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A nnette_Funicello</a>

Superb quality programs of days gone by. In Mo. we have Six Flags, that was enough of a crowd for me! We do have a Disney store at the Galleria, I believe it is still there. I found it by accident and bought a cool chambray shirt on sale. Neat place to shop when you need to put a smile on!! They always have a sales rack with nice stuff.
