I understand how the price can be "just fine" for some but "moronic" for others. I am about 5 hours north of DLR (Monterey County). Just an example of the adjustment parts of CA are going through..... average home price June '09 - 715K, June '10 - 302K; Unemployment rate June '09 - 6.4%, June '10 - 10.3%. My guess is, worth it or not, too many just can't afford it.

Why would eating in the bbq area outside be any different than any of the other outside eating areas?

Originally Posted By Mickeysbestfan ++^^^didn't say it would. All the places we ate at were inside.++ Maybe not in so many words, but it seems to be a point of contention nearly as much as the price, not necessarily just by you, but by others. Now that the price has been lowered, and again things removed from the meal (kids meal lost the souvenier bag - and now dessert it removed), the point that it is an outdoor eatery seems to be the issue. My point was that all the outdoor eateries were very busy all week. I would have loved to try the place, but with a few food allergy issues, eating just a plate of meat didn't seem like a good choice. I think if they keep the current price and offer a couple choices of side dishes, they will draw many more people. Didn't think to look this trip, is it on the map as a restaurant and not just a celebration area yet?

If you want to think of that as a point of contention-what ever floats your boat.
Originally Posted By Mickeysbestfan ++I stated a fact. If you want to think of that as a point of contention-what ever floats your boat.++ Wow snarky much? I was not mean or nasty to you, I was just stating a fact that in all the threads about the place the complaint was the price point, characters, and the fact that it's outdoors. I was just pointing out that 2 of the 3 were addressed, and yes it's outside dining, but so are many other places. I was there the full week last week, it was hot but not as busy as we expected and we never waited more than 10 minutes for food and the ride lines (other than the water rides) were very managable. I don't think we waited in a stand-by line more than 30-40 min.
Originally Posted By dlkozy >>>"Wow snarky much?"<<< wow. >>>"Maybe not in so many words/..."<<< This is how you started off-when you try and put words and/or meaning in others posts that were never there to begin with-THAT'S snarky. >>>" yes it's outside dining, but so are many other places. "<<< And as I pointed out-many other places are NOT at that price point that the BBQ wants to charge. No one said that you couldn't like/enjoy it. Disney being totally out of touch with both reality and it's guests reopened the BBQ with too high of a price point, in an outdoor venue with no mister set up. Gee, and it's not as popular as Disney would like-go figure.
